successes
My greatest success during my career I would say that has to be winning the Under-21 World Championship in jump in 2019. The preparation for the tournament was as I planned it. I had the greatest support from my coaches, family and friends. When I traveled to Canada to compete at the worlds I had a good feeling about my jumping but I wasn’t sure if that was going to be enough to win. When the day of the semi finals came I felt ready, I had my CAMARO jump suit and speed suit ready for action. I felt comfortable and with a lot of energy that day. After skiing the semi finals I ended up in the first place going into the finals, so when the finals came I knew the score that I needed to win. It was hard mentally but I stayed focused and trusted myself that I could do it. After landing my first jump I knew that wasn’t enough for the gold medal so I pushed myself on the second jump. I needed to jump more than 46.2 meters and I jumped 47.5 on my second jump. When I saw the distance on the scoreboard I couldn’t believe it. I screamed really loud and threw the fist. I accomplished my dream since I was a little girl. During this moment I realized that all the hard work and sacrifices payed off. I’ll remember this day for the rest of my life.
